Software Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a talented and motivated Software Engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable, reliable, and high-quality software applications. The ideal candidate is comfortable working across the software development lifecycle and collaborating with product, design, QA, and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable software applications and services.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices.

• Design and develop RESTful APIs and backend services.

• Work with relational and NoSQL databases and optimize queries and data access.

• Develop integrations with third-party services and internal systems.

• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production and development issues.

• Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical design discussions.

• Write unit, integration, and automated tests.

• Improve application performance, reliability, scalability, and security.

• Work with CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and deployment processes.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and deliver features.

• Participate in architecture and technology decisions.

• Maintain technical documentation and contribute to engineering standards.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

• 2+ years of professional software development experience.

• Strong programming skills in one or more languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, Go, or C#.

• Experience building REST APIs and backend services.

• Strong understanding of relational databases and SQL.

• Familiarity with Git and modern software development workflows.

• Understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.

• Experience writing automated tests.

• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills.

• Good communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Spring Boot or other backend frameworks.

• Experience with React, React Native, or other modern frontend technologies.

• Experience with AWS or another major cloud platform.

• Experience with Docker and containerized applications.

• Experience with Kubernetes and microservice architectures.

• Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, or similar technologies.

• Experience with messaging systems such as SQS, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.

• Experience designing systems for high availability and scalability.

• Familiarity with observability tools, logging, metrics, and distributed tracing.
