Job Description
Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for protecting the organization’s IT infrastructure, networks, and data from cyber threats. The ideal candidate will design and implement security measures, monitor systems for vulnerabilities, and respond to security incidents swiftly and effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain secure network architectures and systems.
- Monitor security systems for intrusions and anomalies using SIEM tools.
- Conduct regular vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, and risk analyses.
- Develop and enforce security policies, procedures, and standards.
- Investigate security breaches and other cybersecurity incidents.
- Implement tools and technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, endpoint protection, and encryption protocols.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001, SOC 2).
- Educate employees on cybersecurity best practices and conduct training sessions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related field.
- Proficiency in network security, cloud security, and application security.
- Good hands-on experience with security tools (e.g., Wireshark, Nessus, Metasploit, Snort).
- Familiarity with firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and endpoint security systems.
- Strong knowledge of operating systems (Linux, Windows), scripting (Python, Bash), and networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, etc.).
- Ability to analyze logs and detect suspicious activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Security certifications such as CEH, CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, or OSCP.
- Experience with cloud platforms and security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Knowledge of DevSecOps, Zero Trust Architecture, and threat modeling.
- Familiarity with incident response frameworks (e.g., NIST, SANS).
