Job Description

Who We Are :

StikBook is building a safe, creative, and commerce-ready video platform for Gen Z, families, and creators. Our mission is to align stakeholders, sharpen our brand, and make StikBook the go-to place for engaging, trustworthy short-form content.

What We’re Looking For :

We’re looking for a creative frontend developer at the start of their career who loves turning complex ideas into clean, intuitive interfaces. Someone who:

  • Has a strong eye for detail and visual design
  • Cares about usability, accessibility, and performance
  • Enjoys collaborating closely with designers, product managers, and backend engineers
  • Is curious, asks good questions, and loves to experiment and learn

Your Role :

As a Frontend Software Developer you will help shape the user experience of StikBook across web and mobile web.

You will:

  • Build and refine reusable UI components in React/TypeScript
  • Work with product and design to turn Figma mockups into production-ready interfaces
  • Integrate with backend APIs, handle loading/error states, and manage frontend state
  • Help improve accessibility, responsiveness, and performance across different devices
  • Fix UI bugs, participate in code reviews, and contribute to our design system
  • Collaborate with the team in daily stand-ups and sprint ceremonies, sharing demos of what you build

What You’ll Bring :

  • Experience with React and JavaScript/TypeScript from coursework or personal projects
  • Solid understanding of HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and basic state management (React hooks, context, or similar)
  • Comfort using Git/GitHub and working with branches, pull requests, and code reviews
  • Basic understanding of the software development lifecycle, from tickets to deployment
  • Good communication skills and the ability to ask for help and give feedback

Nice to Have :

  • Experience with Tailwind CSS / CSS Modules / Styled Components
  • Exposure to testing tools (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, or Playwright)
  • Awareness of CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, etc.)
  • Any projects that show creativity (portfolio sites, hackathon apps, open-source contributions, etc.)

If you’re unsure you meet every single requirement but you’re excited about the role, we still encourage you to apply.
